What we believe
The Bible was written by several people, in different languages over a long period of time. Yet, we believe that God speaks to us today through the Bible. The living God deals with us today through his living word, the Bible
God upholds his creation and communicates with it. God has revealed himself in his creation, in the Bible and supremely in his Son, Jesus Christ.
God loves us all. We have all been made in his image, but something has gone wrong in God’s perfect world. Sin has come into the world through disobedience. Our greatest problem is our sin as it separates us from God.
We believe that Jesus, the Son of God, lived a perfect life on earth and died on the cross in our place. He received the punishment for our sins, offering himself as a perfect sacrifice in our place. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead, is alive and is Lord of heaven and earth. He gives eternal life to all who believe in him.
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts people of sin and leads them to Jesus. He comes to dwell in the hearts of all Christians.
We believe that eternal life is a gift from God to everyone who repents of his sins and believes in Jesus Christ as Saviour and confesses Him as Lord.
We believe that every Christian is a part of the church. There are several attractive pictures of the church in the Bible, a fruitful garden, a living body, a strong building and a beautiful bride. We believe that membership of the local church is important. God’s purpose is for the church to be a centre for worship, prayer, teaching, service and mission.
